I wish that I had written this. I lived it growing up, which is why for my entire adult life, I will only attend Orthodox synagogues. If you want actual Judaism: go to a traditional synagogue. If you want leftist politics, allegiance to the always shifting “values” of an increasingly radicalized democrat party (including it’s constant, enthusiastic denigration of Israel and the ancient Jewish connection to it), and an unwillingness/lack of courage to be proudly and STRONGLY Jewish: go to a reform/conservative “temple.” One is Jewish. The other is Jew-ish.
