Backbeat: The Beatles 'biopic' released 34 years before Sam Mendes' planned picture

The 1994 film focused on Stuart Sutcliffe and the band’s time in Hamburg

I love this movie. I saw it in the theater when it first came out, as I was just beginning to learn guitar, and it, and the soundtrack, inspired me to want to form a Beatles band with this kind of energy. It should be a far more better known music biopic (weirdly, none of which are great films). I have serious doubts that the amended film will even live up to it.
