I make my living, at least in part, from social media and I have never been fully sold on Google+. It tries to be too many things. Facebook is Facebook and no one will replace them (at least not in the near future). The key for a new social platform is to specialize like Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Moptwo etc. have done.

Google+ is, in my opinion, an incongruous unintuitive mess. It tries to do way too much. That's one of the reasons that I have enthusiastically adopted Moptwo. I am very proud to be an early adopter. I urge all of you to do the same. They aren't perfect yet, but I've been watching it evolve and it gets better every month.
