Seventy years later and the Polish government STILL won’t take responsibility for the nation’s antisemitism. Disgusting.

To the fact that someone is not in their right mind and blames all the evil in this world and his frustrations on a particular nation?”“If you are trying to blame this government for anti-Semitism in the heads of seriously crazy (I believe) fools, it is indecent and unwise,” he added.

The protest comes at a time of surging antisemitism in parts of Europe and as critics accuse the PiS of trying to build a nationalist sense of grievance among Poles by seeking to minimize Polish complicity in the Holocaust.“

I am continually astonished when I hear people say that we should talk less about the Holocaust. Yes, you can't base your entire identity on it, and the Survivors certainly have not, but considering that this is just one of many similar events that have befallen the Jewish people (may this be the last one), and it is the closest to use in time we have a duty to teach people about it. That is especially true as Holocaust denial becomes more rampant. It is also an important mark of respect to the Survivors who ate still with us. What they endured is unimaginable.
