The piece isn't really about race at all, but NPR decided some race-baiting would get clicks.

I hate these people. It’s The Beatles, the most influential (for better or worse) rock band in history. There is so much stupidity in the NPR article. But, millions of people believe this pseudo intellectual garbage. These people are bigots and antisemites and they continually exploit race and divide people to enrich themselves and increase their own power. It’s an obvious scam that, unfortunately, far too many people aren’t intelligent enough to avoid believing.

Behold the idiocy of the left. This article is amazing and highlights the type of overly acacemicized thought that goes into things like this.ONLY on the left do people worry more about what they are labeled than they do about their actions. It also points to a type of fascism of thought on the left. Words MUST mean whatever meaning the left dictates. My favorite paragraph is the last (and all you really need to get the tone of this sanctimoniously overblown piece of egomaniacal writing:

"Advocating for the term “homemaker” does not mean hoping for a return to housewives, women for whom maintaining appearances—apple-cheeked children and sparkling kitchen counters—was the highest priority. Instead, it means detaching ourselves from passé gender norms and broadening our idea of what it means to be the parent who steps out of the professional workforce. A homemaker is a parent who prioritizes the home rather than the house, and the family as a whole, rather than merely the children."

Yes. Making "apple cheeked children" a priority would be a horrific act by a parent. But the last sentence is the most mind numbingly idiotic. A "homemaker," and not a 50s' "housewife" makes the family as a whole, and not the "merely" the children, a priority. That would come as a shock to many 50s housewives.
