Pro-Gaza protesters condemn Canada's unqualified support of Israel

I will never make fun of Canada again. Some interesting points about this article:
For one thing, if all of the Palestinians AND the liberals in Canada are upset: Canada is doing something right (although, to their credit, liberal leaders in Canada have not sided with Hamas, or in the case of Nancy Pelosi, practically joined Hamas). Second, we see once again that it is conservatives, and not liberals, who generally support Israel in an unequivocal way.
Once again we see Israel’s opponents whining about “disproportionate realities.” The implication being that if more Jews were dying, these people would be happier (the reality is that they would just switch their insidious rhetoric to some other subject).
One of these geniuses said that “the onus is on Israel to stop violating Palestinian human rights and to accept Palestinians as equals.” Really? You mean like the Arabs who live in Israel who ARE equals because they don’t spend all of their time and energy trying to kill other Israelis???
The article goes on to claim that “But in its one-sided support for Israel, the Conservative government has effectively sidelined Canada on the global stage, said Dewar, and damaged this country’s ability to help broker an end to the conflict.” This is typical of leftist thought. So choosing right over wrong and good over evil “sidelines” your country? That’s moral relativism at work folks. It’s a good thing that some people are not scared to identify evil and then fight it.
One of the Arab-Canadians quoted in the story spews the usual Hamas type talking points and then goes on to say that:
“Canadians believe in democracy, justice, the rule of law and the recognition of international law. It’s about time for my government to stand by its own principles.”
Really? You mean just like Israel and not one single Arab country on this planet? Do they even recognize their own extreme hypocrisy?
The left in Canada are also upset that they feel that they can’t be a “broker” on the “global stage” to end the conflict. Israel does not need Canada to bring an end to the conflict. It needs its allies to stand by it while it roots out the evil that is Hamas which is the ONLY way to bring peace to Israelis and Palestinians. HOW is that not obvious???
Canada’s Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, got it exactly right. I WISH that our president had the guts, or desire, to say this:
“Canada calls on its allies and partners to recognize that these terrorist acts are unacceptable and that solidarity with Israel is the best way of stopping the conflict."
