Some people tried really hard to characterize Netanyahu's visit as being highly unusual, or that the speech itself (and not merely how the invitation was issued) as being a violation or protocol. Both assertions were very transparently false and people saw through it very quickly and resented it. Netanyahu is also perceived as the strongest candidate in terms of defense and at a tumultuous time like this, that would be difficult for any opponent to overcome.,

I would prefer that more outlets like Tablet had the courage to be fearless in their convictions and not feel compelled to throw in the "we're not saying who is right and who is wrong" language. Especially when it is clear that they know who is right and who is wrong.
