The Reality of “My Jewish Privilege”

Yesterday, antisemites on Twitter started a hashtag called #JewishPrivilege about how Jews have it made. Jews (including myself) responded with stories of awful things that have happened to them or their families as a result of being Jewish

I can personally relate to every point in this article. From overt antisemitism to having to explain why I can’t eat the pepperoni pizza that my bosses brought in for everyone at work to eat, being a Jew means always being aware that you are different. The idea that we are just like everyone else in terms of the way we experience America, and everywhere else in the world outside of Israel, is totally absurd to any of us who have lived even a minimally connected Jewish life.
