Want proof that social justice doesn't sell? Look no further than the all-female cast of "Ocean's 8" actually discouraging viewers from interpreting the film as a feminist statement.

People don't see whining about imagined inequality as entertainment entertaining. Surprise. Heist films have a masculine edge because almost all heists are, in the real world, committed by men. But the real world makes absolutely no difference to social justice warriors. Their version of "inequality" is childish, appalling, and pathetic. The complaining has already begun about the probability that their will be no sequel:

You stupidly made a film that you had to know that almost no one would want to see. Deal with it. Film making is a business.
