Vinyl Record Sales Just Hit an 18-year High

In 2014 you'd be forgiven for thinking the music industry is all about online charts and digital downloads, but the latest figures released by the Official Charts Company reveal a corresponding boom in vinyl record sales which have reached an 18-year high.

This is great news. It has always been obvious that vinyl is superior to cassettes, CDs (which were insanely over hyped), and MP3s (VERY convenient, but they have inferior sound quality and lack the physical element). I am glad that the market for vinyl kept it alive long enough to be reborn as a seriously viable product (again). Vinyl will, obviously, never be what it once was, but its use will continue to grow.
