Isn't it obvious that people would be using them to replace walking and not driving? ADULTS, the real kind, the kind who own grownup vehicles, aren't going to take these things somewhere where you can take a car. As usual, they don't even acknowledge how unsafe these things are for the riders and pedestrians, because the riders almost never ride them in the street-where they'd probably be flattened by a car anyway.
