I know that there are good people on both sides of the abortion argument. But I have also noticed over the years that liberals tend to be far more angry about it, and far meaner. The reason is that liberalism IS their value system. So for them it's a pseudo religion. Therefore, anyone who disagrees with them is not just wrong, but a bad person. This is true for everything, not just abortion. Whereas conservatives say "we disagree," liberals tend to view anyone who differs with disdain. Therefore, they are not only emotionally attached to their feelings based positions on issues, but they have an "ends justify the means" mindset. That mindset is at least partially what allows them to be so incredibly uncivil.
