More than half of Americans over 50 now get their news from social media, it's obvious that social media will both be influencing news and be a major source of news in the future. This is why I love Moptwo. It distills the news for me without all of the nonsense that I see on every other social media site. If there is nonsense here, it is in the form of an article (and therefore has some kind of value), not random musings, knee-jerk thoughts, or pictures of things that may be important to the person posting it, but not to me. This goes way beyond a strict definition of "news." It's about information. I like information even more when it challenges me and adds to my sphere of resources. I can find that here because I see articles every day that I would never have seen otherwise, and because I follow people who read about similar subjects and interests. The UX is a little wobbly, and it's not completely obvious at first how Moptwo works (like every other social media platform I have ever used), but it is far more efficient if you are looking a social media platform designed specifically for news.
