“We’ve been looking for it for 50 years, and I got it back”: Paul McCartney’s long-lost Höfner returns to the stage for the first time in 50 years, as he enlists Ronnie Wood and Ringo Starr for an epic tour finale

I’ve waited for Paul to come on stage every time I’ve seen Ringo, and missed the LA show where Ringo got on stage at Paul’s concert at Dodger Stadium. It’s so cool that he got the Hornet back, and is now using it.

Bob Dylan & Israel, The Neighborhood Bully
aish.comIt may not be his best song, but Dylan’s 1983 song about Israel is surprisingly resonant today.
This album came out when I was in high school and I immediately totally fell in love with this song. It is truly amazing that it has become even more relevant through the years. When I used to DJ, I’d play it sometimes (even though almost no one but me knew what it was about) to show both my pride in being Jewish, and in Israel.
If you want to listen to it, you can copy and paste this:

Jimmy Carter’s Decades of Promoting Hamas and Undermining Israel
pjmedia.comJimmy Carter is dead, and he leaves behind him a legacy of utter failure as president and beyond. Among his numerous disastrous policies still harming the world today are his decades of legitimizing terrorist Hamas and undermining Israel. While Americans eulogize a man with no major lasting accomplishment, some Israeli and Jewish outlets are more bitterly remembering an antisemitic politician who spent years backstabbing them to appease radical jihadis.

The Vanishing World of Neon Motel Signs - Atlas Obscura
atlasobscura.comA photographer has spent decades capturing these symbols of Americana and the open road.
I love these old signs. Many years ago, before everyone had a camera on their phone, I wanted to put together a coffee table book about old neon signs. That was in the '90s. It is very sad to watch the rapidity with which these signs are disappearing. It was/is an endemic part of Americana. Worse, their replacements are the boring, generic, sameness of the typical 21st century roadside experience, which has replaced style with monotony. Not just hotel signs either, but all signage. Have you seen Las Vegas lately? It looks a lot more like any other new urban environment than Las Vegas. It's just another symbol of the current American desire to replace individualism with conformity.

But, I knew this article was written by a woman as soon as it said “we cried” with the Marx Brothers. No we didn’t. We laughed, and laughed a lot. ‘The Book of Jews:’ San Diego Human Relations Commissioner Forced to Resign Over Antisemitic Comments
algemeiner.comA member of San Diego's Human Relations Commission was forced to step down this week following a furious response to antisemitic comments he proffered at a meeting of the body on July 18, in which he claimed that the Torah instructs Jews to murder Palesti
I lived in S. Diego for 13 years. It’s an antisemitic cesspool. I’ve had about 5 antisemitic incidents happen to me personally in Los Angeles where I grew up. The number was at least three times that in my time there. And is anyone surprised that this person is a progressive? Most of the incidents I experienced involved progressives. Which was surprising because I expected, given its reputation going up, that it would have come from the far right. We still get it from both sides, living there demonstrated to me how much times have changed.
This also mirrored my experiences:
Brown later expressed her shock that only one of the assembled commissioners — Kate Clark, who works for Jewish Family Services — took Raufi to task for his remarks. “It was so unbelievably shocking in the moment — and even more shocking was the silence of every single commissioner and county staff,” she told the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Almost all of the antisemitism I experienced there happened in public. While I can, and did, handle those incidents myself, the most shocking part was, and this is true in L.A. too, every non-Jew, EVERY SINGLE time, say there in silence. These are mostly the same people who would have gone berserk if a black pardon had been called the “n-word.” It really reminds us that, as Jews, we can only rely on ourselves.

Japan Airlines' child icon helps passengers avoid seats near children
cnbc.comJapan Airlines has introduced a new feature on its booking system to tell passengers where young children will be seated during their flight.
I think this is GREAT! Years ago I came up with an idea for an "adults only" airline. People were pretty upset with me about it. I understand why it offends some parents, but sorry, many of us do not want to be locked into a plane stuck next to your screaming kid, ESPECIALLY in today's climate which seems to 1. Encourage parents to never discipline their kids & 2. The public/private boundary has been erased almost entirely. This is a move in the correct direction!

The 14 Coolest Drive-In Movie Theaters in America | Mental Floss
mentalfloss.comAt the peak of their popularity, America was home to 4000 drive-ins, but that number now hovers around the 355 mark. Here are a few of our personal favorites.
It is pathetic that California, where the drive-in was practically invented, doesn’t have a single entry on this list. We still have a few, but too many of the people here are too shallow to appreciate anything that isn’t the trend of the moment.

We're Sorry, WHAT?? British AI Firm To Suppress Speech They Deem 'Misinformation' Ahead of 2024 Elections
twitchy.comThe left truly seems to be completely hellbent on creating an Orwellian nightmare for the rest of us, and a British AI firm is just the latest example. 'Logically.AI' has been in talks with various states and DHS to expand its social media surveillance for the 2024 presidential election.
They really want an Orwellian reality. Of course, it benefits them. They will do ANYTHING to make it realty, unless we stop them. Sites like this one are part of the solution.

USC Professor Banned From Campus for Being Mean to Hamas
redstate.comIn a shocking violation of free speech, a USC professor has been suspended and banned from campus after he spoke against Hamas.
I was at USC in the late 80s, professors openly defended the first intifada in class, and denied Israel’s right to exist. Antisemitism on campus has always been rampant. A few years ago, USC refused to take any action at all against a Muslim professor who promoted Holocaust denial. There are never consequences for Jew hatred on campus. BUT, if a Jewish professor calls Hamas a terrorist group, and says that they should all be killed, both true: his career is ended, and the Arab, Muslim students are catered to immediately, and enthusiastically.

redstate.comLouisiana officers aren't getting qualified immunity on this one.
This is a big victory for our first amendment rights. It’s always been absurd that cops can arrest you for your “tone” or what you say. Grow up and be adults like everyone else. Even more-so: follow the laws that you yourself are supposedly enforcing.

Germany Earns The Ultimate Facepalm: Anne Frank Daycare Center To Be Renamed

We live in the United States, so we're most horrified about it here, but scenes from London, Australia, and elsewhere are equally concerning. This is not the way a society behaves ... at least if it wants to survive.
This makes me furious. How dare they. Of course, they invoke the left’s poisonous Orwellian racialized garbage to justify it, just as cowards and leftists always do to excuse their Overy racism. The “migrants” are Muslims, the “challenges” are obsequious in the face of antisemtism, and the “diversity,” is an attempt to, once again, exclude Jews, and it’s ALL Holocaust denial.

The person who did this is Asian. Jews attack no one based on their race/ethnicity. Yet the entire country is obsessed with “stopping” racism, but Jews are never included in that effort because, according to them-we’re “white.” So, the fact that we are the most attacked the most attacked group in America, defies their entire narrative that racism is about “power” and non-whites have no power, so therefore can’t be racist. I’d you’re offended by that: it’s too bad, I have nothing but disdain for people who deny facts.
