This clip is a tad on the biased side but having done 10 days HARP duty and having several buddies who did recruiting tours, I can attest to the fact that this stuff happens. While I never recruited in my own career (20 yrs Navy) my buddies who did were very up front (after they completed their recruiting tours) about their own dishonesty and joked they truly hoped they would never be onboard the same ship with some of the kids they got in later on in their own careers. While it makes for some colorful stories, it's really kind of sad bringing kids in who are so unqualified and a possible a danger to their fellow crew members is funny. But it is what it is.

I'm posting this purely for the sake of interest. I'm really not sure how to feel. While I truly feel bad for him, I would still like to see more of the details. PTSD is real and I agree that society really turn's its back on our vets, BUT not all of us have had the issues this guy had. In fact, most of us don't and I fear (I know this is selfish) a story like this guy gives the impression we just can't seem to transition back into civilian life. Most of us deal with minimal challenges but I agree with the host that things could be better for those who DO need help.
